His debut, The Weight We Carry Home, arrived fully formed — thirteen songs about the invisible loads men carry. The Long Way Home answered it: brighter, wider, neon-lit and city-dark at once. Knowing Better Staying Anyway caught the golden hour in between.

The Anesthetic Wearing Off is the turn. Where the earlier records asked "why does this hurt?", this one asks something harder: "what if it stopped hurting — and started feeling?" Twelve dream-pop songs about surrender, sung close enough to the microphone that you can hear the guard come down.
